E. 6th Avenue and Cherry Street Traffic Calming

 

 HDL Engineering Consultants, LLC is preparing construction documents on behalf of the MOA for traffic calming improvements on E. 6th Avenue and Cherry Street near Muldoon Elementary. Construction is scheduled to occur in Summer 2021.

 

Improvements along E. 6th Avenue, between State Street and North Valley Road, will include:

  • Two permanent radar speed signs
  • Two speed humps
  • Raised crosswalk at the intersection of E. 6th Avenue and North Valley Road
  • ADA curb ramps
  • Minor Storm Drainage Changes

 

Improvements along Cherry Street, between E. 6th Avenue and E. 10th Avenue, will include:

  • Widening the sidewalks for Muldoon Elementary students
  • Roadway narrowing
  • Two speed cushions
  • Driveway reconstruction
  • Repaving
  • Curb and gutter
  • ADA curb ramps
  • Minor Storm Drainage Changes
