As part of HDL’s term agreement, the Construction Administration Group efficiently inspected and documented the work for each of the five funding sources and three separate project accounts included in this contract.
This Highway Safety Improvement Program project combines three smaller safety improvement projects into one construction project located in two geographically separate areas of Anchorage. The project includes an intersection reconstruction at Johns Road and Klatt Road from a two-way stop to a roundabout, site distance improvements along Klatt Road, and widening for a center-two-way-left-turn-lane on Bragaw Street.
Construction began in June 2016 with approximately one million dollars of utility relocation for the Johns Road and Klatt Road portion of the project. This location completed all underground work in 2016 and the intersection was placed back in a two-way stop configuration for winter shutdown. The Bragaw Street portion of the project met all interim completion dates in 2016. Anticipate project completion is June 2017.
