This AVEC project was prioritized due to annual flooding and erosion of the existing facility as a result of ice dams on the Yukon River. HDL designed a new 560,000-gallon tank farm and single building power plant with attached living quarters on elevated pile foundations mitigate future flooding. The construction of the tank farm was complete in October 2014 and the power plant was online in 2016.
